Wick sizing & use
Match wick size to jar diameter. Too small and the wax "tunnels"; too big and the flame smokes. As a rule: 5cm jar → small wick, 6–8cm → medium, 8cm+ → braided or double wick.
Centre the wick before pouring. Use a wick holder or two chopsticks across the jar to keep it straight while the wax sets.
Trim to 5mm before every burn. Long wicks flicker and produce soot. A clean trim = a clean burn.
Let cured candles rest 24 hours before their first light so the wick draws wax evenly.
